Kim Faterkowski, LAT
President
Kimberly Faterkowski is a proud alumni of Westfield High School, Blinn College, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Kim graduated from UTA in 2003 and joined the Athletic Training Staff at Cypress Springs High School. She has been a Panther ever since. She has been married for 18 years to Ryan, who is her biggest supporter. They have 3 children, Steven (18), Rylee (12), and Tyler (4).
While attending Westfield High School, as a student athletic trainer, Kim attended GHATS Student Athletic Trainers Workshops from 1994-1998. She learned during these years just how important the Greater Houston Athletic Trainers’ Society was to the Student Athletic Trainers and Professional Athletic Trainers in the Greater Houston Area. Kim Faterkowski has served since 2003 in many different roles within GHATS. She began as the Student Athletic Trainers Workshop Registration Chair and has held many different positions, such as Social Chair, Posters Committee Member, North Representative, Vice President, and currently, President.
Jesse Lopez, LAT
Vice President
Jesse, a graduate from the University of Texas in 2006, joined the Tennessee Titans as an intern for the 2006 pre-season. In 2006 he became Head Athletic Trainer for La Feria High School in South Texas until 2010. In 2010 he was recruited to J. Frank Dobie High School in Pasadena ISD he is the current Head Athletic Trainer.
Joseph Hebert, MS, LAT, ATC
Secretary
Joseph is a Health Science Teacher at Langham Creek High School. Mr. Hebert joined the Executive Board in 2020 as the Secretary. Prior to joining the board he held the position of Honors & Awards Chair. As of March 2021 he is a Board Member of the Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers. Joseph serves as a member of the SWATA Scholarship Committee since 2016 Most recently he was selected as a member of the NATA Government Affairs Committee, representing Arkansas and Texas.
Eddie Beltran, MS, LAT, ATC
Treasurer
Eddie Beltran is currently an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Humble Summer Creek High School. He received his Bachelors as well as his Masters degree from SFA. Eddie was previously chair of the poster contest.

Justin Landers, LAT

Justin is Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer for Katy ISD. He has been an athletic trainer in the Houston Area for 24 years. Justin has been integral part of many GHATS workshops and has been the GHATS workshop registration chair from 2016 to 2023. Other roles that he has served as in the profession scholarship committees, hosting professional development opportunities for athletic trainers, mentoring young professionals, and blood drives.
Dennis Fyke, LAT, ATC

Dennis started his NATA membership in 1978. Currently Dennis holds the position of South Representative within GHATS. Dennis is one of the Founders of the GHATS Student Athletic Trainer Workshop. He has been honored with the GHATS Bobby Gunn and GHATS Hall of Honors awards.
Bryant Spencer, MBA, LAT, ATC

Bryant Spencer is in his eighth year at Dulles High School as Head Athletic Trainer, previously serving as an athletic trainer at New Caney and Hightower high schools and through Trinity Mother Francis Hospital System in East Texas. Through his athletic training experience at the high school, college and professional levels over the last 15 years, he has served on several national and regional committees and task forces. Bryant Spencer is a graduate of Concord University in Athens, West Virginia and received his MBA from Tiffin University. He and his wife, Carmen, reside in Houston
